Welcome to the April bulletin from The Model Railway Clearing House. We apologise for not getting this out at the beginning of the month but wanted to gather up some sizeable collections before we did so. This edition is going to be Gauge 1 heavy in light of the forthcoming G1MRA Spring event at Statfold Barn on Saturday 18th April. We look forward to seeing many of you there and will, as is the new norm, be bringing the glory bin full of items for sale on a cash only basis so bring your wallets! The show also affords us the opportunity to deliver Gauge 1 items purchased beforehand so don’t hold back until the show or the item you might like may well have gone. Aster LMS Princess Coronation 4-6-2 No. 4633 Duchess of Sutherland, LMS maroon, 1:32 scale, wooden case. A model from an estate sale, latterly serviced by David Stick. It is in excellent condition – £3950.00
Aster SR West Country Pacific 4-6-2, No. 34009 Lyme Regis, BR green, early emblem, 1:32 scale, alcohol-fired. This is an unusual and exceptional Aster in a form not usually seen, a WC with the high-sided tender. The model was professionally repainted and lined by David Stick and comes with impeccable provenance from a well respected member of the Gauge 1 community. Supplied with a wooden carry case – SOLD

Freddie Wrighton LNWR George V 4-4-0 No. 1360 Fire Queen, lined LNWR black, 10mm scale, wooden case. A really lovely model of an elegant Bowen-Cooke design, the model has been in the hands of one owner for many years, serviced by David Stick and upgraded with a tender axle pump and can be fitted with a regulator servo (supplied) powered from the full brake. It is offered as a parcel with the beautiful rake of seven LNWR coaches below for £8,750.00 – G10250/1
Hand built rake of seven LNWR Elliptical-roofed corridor coaches, LNWR plum & spilt milk, 10mm scale, wooden carry cases. A unique and superb rake of seven LNWR corridor coaches, complete with sprung buffers, flexile corridor connections, compensated bogies and interiors, the full brake has a battery compartment and RC receiver to operate a servo on the footplate of the engine (supplied) controlling the regulator. Hundreds of hours of work have gone into making this exceptional train, companion to the Freddie Wrighton LNWR ‘George the V’ and offered as a set with the locomotive for £8,750.00, complete with wooden carry cases – G10250/1
