Welcome to our August news bulletin. A busy summer continues and this update appears on the same weekend at ‘The Greatest Gathering’ of locomotives at Alstom’s Derby Works. We know that some of you are exhibiting there and many of you will be visiting so hope the experience is an enjoyable one. Meanwhile it is time to highlight some of the lovely models we currently have in stock, starting with some attractive little narrow gauge locomotives.
Narrow gauge treats!
NG0206 – Finescale Quarry Hunslet 0-4-0ST Alan George, Penrhyn lined black, 32mm gauge, 1:19 scale. In used but well cared for condition, and good example of one of Finescale’s less common little engines – £2200.00
NG0207 – Finescale Quarry Hunslet 0-4-0ST Hugh Napier, Penrhyn lined black, 32mm gauge, 1:19 scale. In used but well cared for condition, and good example of one of Finescale’s most popular little engines – £1995.00
NG0204 – Graham Duncan Smith Bagnall 4-4-0T Isibuto, unlined green, 32mm gauge, 1:19 scale, radio control fitted. One of a very small number of this class built by Graham Duncan Smith in 2022, in pristine order and recently serviced – £2500.00
NG0203 – The Ashover Set, Mike Beeson Baldwin 4-6-0PT Joan, Ashover coach, Wembley coaches (2) & WD bogie wagon, 45mm gauge, 1:19 scale. A unique and exceptional collection of work by a talented model engineer, the set comprises an Ashover Light Railway Baldwin 4-6-0PT in Ashover crimson, carrying the name Joan, an Ashover Gloucester C&WW coach made of individually cut parts with working doors and droplights, two of the semi-open coaches from the Wembley Exhibition ‘Never Stop’ railway and a WD ‘D’ class bogie open wagon. The set hasn’t run for some years and, since it is in ‘used’ condition, would benefit from some TLC, all set to 45mm gauge. The locomotive is live-steam, gas fired with a number of novel features, a real collector’s item! £4000.00
