G1MRCo BR 4MT 2-6-4T, No. 80089 (prototype), lined BR black, late crest, 1:32 scale, water carrier, wooden case.  Another very special locomotive from the collection of the late Barry Applegate who was responsible for so much of the design work on the G1MRCo model, this is Barry’s personal example and is, as such, unique, carrying his own boiler.  The model is spirit fired, equipped with a draft blower, two cylinders with dummy Walschearts valve gear and inside valves with slip eccentrics for reversing. Barry equipped the model with a water carrier (disguised as a goods van) with a hand pump to feed the boiler.
